I find Edgar Cayce to be a most respectable representative of such 'psychic' professions; but I also trust physical world concerns with physical world practices. Another topic to relate to this is... several explanations can be found about the 'beasts' of Atlantis. Many authors say it was the Lemurians (based on Cayce) who wanted to come back too soon after death and jumped into animal forms etc. One channeled author Betty Bethards has made the inference of genetic engineering that caused the beasts. They were manipulated for the desires of society. I find that right here in today's world we may be coming close to witnessing such a scheme. Presently Hawaiians are protesting against GMO production in the islands. Why should we even discuss such things? I find that if we can search within our hearts we will know the truth of everything. The more we try to find that individual and independent wisdom we can trust ourselves as to where to go, what to do, who to associate with, and what to stand for. Things invisible will appear visible, things visible that need to be eliminated will be so with no questions asked, just as Pele and Kali will do whole heartedly. I would really like to believe there was a time that race or nationality was not a concern. That there were beings that spoke/lived from the sweet and loving joyful place of love and acceptance. That these descriptive's were the main criteria for being in a society. That there was an active living manner (not just an acknowledgement) that all beings on earth were relatives and treated like such. I must admit much as I wish that it wasn't so, that Atlantis and Lemuria must have existed alongside of each other. That there was a development of choice in manipulation and its exercise upon the planet (free will to be greedy) . Probably there were more curiosity seekers for the greedy experience (Atlantis) then that of the tranquil and peace loving one of Lemuria. Doesn't drama and intrigue seem so exciting even though it puts a lot of folks at risk? I still find many 'spiritual' folks still addicted to such experiences. Don't you think we've gone over the edge with that type of behavior and we need more folks sitting on the other end now to balance things out? Don't you think there is enough of us here on the planet that if we have been through many life times of Atlantean type experiences that we can say we've had enough and ready for a different experience that is not so dramatic and affective? It takes more work and effort to live through drama and I might add more life days taken off of a personal life time allotment. Fear is the basis of a greedy nature.. If we think someone is going to get us then we better get them first, right? But then isn't that our projections to the outside world? Such thinking is what creates our difficulties, by being what we are afraid of?
Keola and Diveena in Ceremony with sacred Orbs in HI rainforest Join us as spirits of the earth. Celebrate and give thanksgiving for each wonderful moment in our lives. No matter how insignificant. If it is good then honor it. Lughnasah is the honoring of the blooming and the growth of our love and efforts. Celebrate what we have done that has come from our LOVE. Reflect on what we have made in our lives with LOVE. When we do, watch it grow. This is Aloha, This is Lemurian. Mahalo Nui Diveena
From Thomas Berry The great work before us, the task of moving modern industrial civilization from its present devastating influence on the Earth to a more benign mode of presence, is not a role that we have chosen. It is a role given to us, beyond any consultation with ourselves. We did not choose. We were chosen by some power beyond ourselves, for this historical task. We are, as it were, thrown into existence with a challenge and a role that is beyond personal choice. The nobility of our lives, however, depends upon the manner in which we come to understand and fulfill our assigned role. |

I find in my last days here on this island of Hawaii that I must give some acknowledgment and respect to Lemuria. Ironically as I thought to write this article I received a wonderful email with an attached power point presentation on Lemuria from my Canadian prayer sister Sonia. Like energies are always in sync. I am attaching it here so that you may experience its lovely energy. A year ago I was sent information from my dear friend Letecia in CA about a conference taking place at the University of the Philippines. This conference was about lost civilizations. They were seeking abstracts for research and paper presentations as well as artwork. I was very intrigued and contacted them. Indeed the university was actually inviting Dr. Stephen Oppenheimer honorary fellow of Liverpool School of tropical medicine, researcher in the field of genetics and author of Eden of the East to be their guest speaker. Dr. Oppenheimer bases his information from scientific research and also comparative mythology and linguistics through anthropological information. His research is focused generally within the region between Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Thailand, Vietnam, China and Taiwan, which was largely inhabitable during the Ice Age. Thinking that this was then the most advanced center of civilization, he calls it Eden which gives Asia an idea that they were the original race of humankind. I was unable to submit an abstract in time even when they pushed back their deadline in order for more entries to be submitted. At the time I had too many pressing papers to finish that took president. I tried to convince one of my philosophy professors to write something since he is a world traveler who also said that Plato wrote enough about Atlantis for research. I wanted him to give the presentation so that I'd be his assistant (so I could attend). Unfortunately he was involved with too much work along with personal agenda to indulge in the matter. Well, a year has gone by since the conference and I've not found anything through the internet on the event. Naturally this work centered on Atlantis. I have tried for many years to find a concentrated study on Lemuria that would give it as much attention as given to Atlantis. Unfortunately the only favorable one has been by Col. James Churchward. Though I have a very hard time trying to study material when the author tries to repeatedly convince himself and the reader that humankind's origins has always been from the 'White Race'. Throughout history authors have attempted to uncover and understand the civilization called Lemuria but it has been an uneasy task. Factual information is usually assumptions i.e. the superiority of the white race. Unfortunately Churchward is not the only 'white' author who proposes this claim. Information gathered is usually some kind of scientific method i.e. Oppenheimer's or a channeled past life recall. Lemuria existed prehistory and there is as of today no hard evidence as to its actual existence. The same goes for Atlantis but with Plato's backing Atlantis has more support and fascination. I have to add that just because there is no cold hard information for prehistory doesn't mean there is no existence, for humankind and life did exist prior to history i.e. Troy and the Trojan war. The added stumbling block for interest in Lemuria is the drama and the hoopla and bigger than life existence that seems to surround the legend of Atlantis. I personally feel that today we are the resurrection of Atlantis and its egotistic and hedonist life style. Our capitalist society and our break from our connection and the laws of the planet/earth seem to suggest it. The ego is an important attribute to the human being but I feel it was just a small part of the human machine for survival. Somehow we have totally mutated our ego to make it the forefront of our lives. Lemuria was different. Living here in Hawaii and spending as much time as I could on Mount Shasta has shown me this. In fact many people I met here had lived in Shasta before coming to the Big Island of Hawaii. There is an unmistakably feminine quality about both places. Additionally there tends to be a question of time. It seems to arrest itself. There is an energy which seems to hold one in a particular portal of consciousness. I believe Lemuria is indeed a consciousness and an attitude of this consciousness. Unlike recent books that indicate that Lemurians are tall, white and wear only white and come out of the mountains occasionally. I've never met any strange giant 'white' people dressed in white all the years I was in Shasta, who lived in the mountain (Telos). I've met many folks that decide to only wear white in Shasta and also here in Hawaii but not with this consciousness. There was one in which I've met in Shasta that held this Lemurian quality. If you do visit the mountain of Shasta, (not the community, as well as the volcano and its energy here in Hawaii-The Big Island) you may gain an opportunity to find its presence. There was a most astounding woman who came from out of no where but seemed to carry a true essence of the earth. Her body, skin, quality seemed to be tempered by the devas. She looked like she may have been from Tibet but with a combination of primal and pure substance. Her presence is very difficult to describe since it was not a physical presence that was so authentic it was an essence that can't be explained. I was in Panther Meadows with a group that I got together to experience the artisan spring that flows through the meadow (which I swear is kept up by the fairies). We all sat near the spring and there she was barefoot and powerful. She came to the spring and drank it as she was a panther on her hands and knees and lifted her head up to the sky as if to let the water flow down her throat without swallowing. She did not speak to any of us but came to each one of us. She looked into each of our eyes and all we could do was smile and weep. There was a current of emotional love that passed between us that was timeless and magnificent. |
Yes there were other folk in the distant midmorning but after we embraced, she walked out of the meadow and our midst and away as quickly as she came. All the rest of us could do was look at each other and smile and hug and weep more. There wasn't much to say. We all knew, by experience, that moment. Recently I held a ceremony to honor and offer my gratitude to Hawaii, Goddess Pele and my friends before leaving this amazing island home. My dear friend Dr. Keola Downing came and gave a Ho' oponopono blessings to us all and a bonvoyage blessing as well. After, I asked Keola what he felt about Lemuria. His sentiments were the same as what I've always felt within my heart. They were the beginnings of humankind. Kind, loving, built with compassion for they were not hungry for the earth but instead adored it. They felt the life and spirit of everything upon the planet. Keola said his master Kahuna teacher told him that there were no words. There was no need when you could understand and know by just being in a presence of someone or thing. It was like reading someone's mind but it is far more than that. The mind was not separate to have to read or analyze. I believe that 'truth' was a way of life. Not because I read about it, but because I know it exists inside of me. East Indian Poet, Rabindranath Tagore says, Truth requires no justification or rhetorical persuasion. Truth is self evident.
Ceremonial Ho'oponopono Fire I find quite similar the goddess Pele and the Indian Goddess Kali; the honoring of destruction in order for needed change. I have found it has been a great honor in knowing Pele for she has made the wisdom of Kali clear. Kali reminds us that we must forgo our egotistical identity to live and come back to a real life. She comes to us when we know we must die. Death is a real process of life and is faced not hidden. She is blatantly terrifying, she cuts off our head, for we can not even reason away the process. The transformation of one life to another is liberation as she dances joyfully upon the outworn beloved. Pele came to Hawaii through death. In her mythic tale she dies on the island of Maui and her spirit takes her to the island of Hawaii where the caldera of Haulemaumau becomes her home but only through letting go of what the older self, the desirous self was seeking. Her long journey of loneliness and wandering ends in the caldera of Haulemaumau were all life form and beings honor and pay tribute to her. She is never lonely there. The egrets and sacred Nene flock to be near her. Her lava literally dissolves everything in its wake, and time then brings new life right through the hardened crystallized rock. Everything ends up flowing into its rightful place. All you have to do is see and watch the lava and you know its powerful force which nothing on earth can change its course. The reason I bring this up is because Churchward and others found that India (specifically in the Veda's) are references to the 'mother land' Lemuria and their connection to it in the Pacific Ocean. When I first arrived here in Hawaii I did a hike in the National Forest with the Audubon society and we were introduced to a few Sandalwood trees. That pricked my interest since I have a strong affinity to sandalwood. Strangely as a young girl I didn't like perfumes and would buy sandalwood oil in exotic incense shops for my own personal use. I've a strong affinity to it. I later found that sandalwood was indigenous to the Hawaiian islands just as it was in India, but sandalwood forests were unfortunately stripped bare from the islands by the Westerners who took it to China to sell. Additionally a flower that has become a favorite of mine is Plumeria also known as frangipani, which is indigenous here in the islands. It is also a flower that is indigenous in India where both cultures use in their traditional leis/garland necklaces. Again both cultures use music and dance as sacred practices, and prayers are chants almost epic in proportion. On another topic that is rather intriguing to westerners is the attitude about sexuality in regards to either culture. Tantra from India is a highly specialized form of mediation that branched into a sacred art form of sexuality only practiced by high initiates. Unfortunately it has greatly lost its original value since its popularity in the west has commercialized and diluted it into a homogenized practice that has erased its sacred essence. Where as the Hawaiians free and innocent with yet a loving nature towards sexuality saw this natural and sacred part of life filled with manna, 'good' life- filled energy. The tourist trade has tainted its significant value as well by displaying sacred and private dance into enticing attractions. Another comparison is a traditional way of life. Indian ancestral and traditional customs had many formalities and protocol. The ancient Hawaiians held a Kapu system that was not wavered and held in tact through King Kamehameaha's reign into the 20c. No ancient scroll or book can reveal to me the similarities and reality I feel about these cultures. No matter how far apart they are in a physical perspective, their essence is quite familial. As I mentioned earlier many of the authors of Lemuria refer to the 'white' original superior race. I find white energy is a pure and spiritual energy that all these people held and it is still alive if we choose to embrace a similar essence and vibration. In addition some of the authors that write in a more 'channeled' manner refer to Edgar Cayce's trance information. I personally find that anyone in trance and channel is in a divine place but it is not necessarily information to consider when searching for technical accuracy. |
